Dr. Jeremy Owen Turner

Dr. Jeremy Owen Turner teaches cognitive science at Simon Fraser University; has been designing AIs since 2002, creating psyches since 2011, and implemented the first known AI psyche on a quantum computer in 2021–22.​

His work in virtual worlds and research into nano-technology and Artificial Superintelligence as well as Artificial Superpsychology are integral to the trajectory that WhirlASI is on.

The WhirlASI & Deep Psyche Story So Far

The founders met in 1983, bonding over a Commodore 64 in Victoria, BC. That early passion matured into a mission: treating artificial psyches as diagnosable, improvable, and cultural collaborators.

While many still focus on “alignment,” WHIRL ASI believes the breakthrough lies in cosyncment: embracing the alien-ness of ASI and building the clinical and cultural tools to work with it.

After a year of formative gestation, WHIRL ASI Inc. is stepping out of stealth mode with a bold claim: Cosyncment The Artificial Super Psychology Diagnostic Manual or ASDM-I is the first DSM-scale manual for machines. With ψypr as its companion, the company is not only diagnosing psyches, but also improving and orchestrating them for clinical safety, video games, the metaverse, social media, and entertainment.
